​​​​Tai Chi for Arthritis, Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis and Tai Chi for Fall Prevention

This program was developed by Dr. Paul Lam. It is easy to learn, safe and effective for both beginners and advanced learners. It is evidence-based and endorsed by the Arthritis Foundation and the Center for Disease Control. Common benefits include better balance, more muscle strength, improved posture, improved circulation, enhanced immune system, increased flexibility and improved stress management. ​Stay Strong, Stay Healthy

This program is designed to increasing aging adults’ access to safe, structured, effective strength training. It is an evidence-based program that runs for 1 hour, 2x per week for  a total of 8 weeks. The lessons focus on progressive muscle strengthening exercises. Participants learn how to improve their strength, flexibility and balance and can be done regardless of fitness level. Participants complete a warm-up, cool-down and a set of 8 upper and lower body strengthening exercises.
